Actually Ain told Amenhoshet that Order and Justice was the exact same thing and the only reason there's a schism of light and dark is because mortals need competition to thrive. So in SK according to Ain justic and order are the same.

In r/l I understand there is huge differences. But on another note, all followers of Ain, light or dark are supposed to be cold and calculating thinkers. Always planning ahead. So in many ways they are they same. The reason why there different like Ain said is a choice of mortals, not him.

I don't doubt what Kud says, actually. When I played Chalem, unless I severely misunderstood what both Desdomos and Keg'yce told me, Ain considers himself and his religion as one, but that the mortals gave it different light.

You're right, and beyond what certain players said that's straight from the mouth of Ain.

Amenhoshet never used this knowledge b/c when Ain told him it was in Ain's place of afterlife and Ain said, you probably won't remember that when you get back b/c you're head will be clouded. In other words he didn't want me using that knowledge with my char but still, it's the truth. Maybe the truth just hurts certain people.

I remember that especially, because Desdomos and Ke'gyce didn't like each other, and the fact Ain hinted at them working together as a unified faith horrified them :P We all thought the sides of Ain would actually get merged.

I think that if there was ample RP the sides could merge. I dunno though and that wasn't my goal or my point.

I would like to add right now I'm feeling very stupid for deleting Amenhoshet as I can't seem to find any other char concept that's anyway near as appealing as my Egyptian style hellion. I'll read more history books for ideas. That's where I got the idea for Amenhoshet after reading about he Egytian concept of the Ma'at. Anyways I'll be kicking myself in the [REDACTED] and not enjoying the new necromancer sorc and rogue I already deleted and the swashy I'm playing with right now.

All bland with out any depth....idiot!

I absolutely supported this player's concept & application.

While there was definately some IC conflict and some of it was not handled the best way possible, I do believe there was an opportunity to continue to develop the character & make continued influence on the kingdom of Zhenshi.

Amenhoset was a paragon of order and justice. He was a character with honor, and he followed the letter of a law to a point it frustrated and tested others significantly. It became a personal challenge and point of contention. The truth of the situation was so simple, but the general dynamic/perception due to emnity/race/religion/politics quite complicated.
It was a controversial thing that he was a Talon. It was just as controversial how he was removed, and how he was reconsidered. It all just seems to have ended here with a fizzle with the key players on both end moving to new characters.

Kudos and best luck with the next.

It's hardly "controversial" he was a Talon. The talons are not lightie, regardless of how predominant lighties are within the Tribunal. I see no reason why a Hellion of ORDER would be a horrible role for them.

Hi Dralen (mostly)

I agree with you 100%, but you will find many characters (and players) will not... Thus the controversy I was describing. It made for a vibrant environment... but unfortunately too much for some. Misunderstandings and frustrations both took toll. Sometimes on players, sometimes on characters. It is unfortunate that the level of the controversy seemed to rather steamroll the prominent ones involved - Issah and Amenhoset both. :( Neither had to go, as far as characters go. While there never would have been full resolution from the interactions, they were rivals & I just wish there was more to it than the fallout. :(

I agree, I didn't think it should be controversial. But I think that if lightie did exactly what I did the punishment and reaction would have been a lot less severe. They would have gotten off with just a warning or maybe tarishment. But not being tarnished and then booted while the char in question was offline. Stupid [REDACTED].
