I'll stop derailing the thread at this point, AFTER I disagree that final strike is worse than detect poison.

The only thing I see wrong with voodoo is the ability of groups of shamans to double/triple voodoo a victim. I wouldn't be opposed to something that prevented that from happening.

The protection from from a second voodoo could be on the same timer as the maledictions, but not dependent on the maledictions landing.

Cleave, backstab, FoD, AND FS all require being in the same room. Voodoo can occur from all the way across the world.

Cleave puts the hellion at risk: If he's able to reach his target, then his target is able to reach him.
Backstab is also powerful, but has -some- countermeasures and also puts the rogue at risk with a short lag.
FoD doesn't 1 shot anyone besides elves, and takes near 3 combat rounds of being in the same room as your target. It's not even in the same galaxy as voodoo.
FS KILLS THE CASTER.

All a voodoo caster has to do is wait until his target has no allies online, then sit in a room with a couple allies and cast away. Ta-da, free lewt at no risk. Anyone with half a brain can get a voodoo kill if their target has managed to die once to someone else with half a brain and some embalming salve.

Come on, are you really gonna place FoD in the same category as voodoo? Not one of my characters even died to a single FoD, in fact some basic Fort enchants would pretty much ensure that that doesn't happen. Hell there are some classes that CAN'T die to it when naked.
