A legionnaire captain exclaims 'Halt, lawbreaker!'
A legionnaire captain says 'I will now carry out your sentence.'
A legionnaire captain says 'For the assault and battery on an inn bouncer:'
A legionnaire captain says ' death.'
A legionnaire captain says 'Your prison sentence is 0 days and 12 hours.'
A legionnaire captain says 'Execution will follow once you've done your time.'
A legionnaire captain escorts you off to your new prison cell.

But somehow...Attempted murder isn't a crime in the Empire? Seriously?

Putting you to death saves time and money rather than clogging up the judicial system of the Empire with cases.

Next case.

Which doesn't explain how attempting to STUN is an executable(?) offense, but attempted murder isn't even considered a crime.

People that attempted to murder you are failures in life and not worth the time of the the magistrate to hear about. Those that commit battery are very successful at being disruptive to government in the Empire. Therefore, all cases involving battery should be met with a judgment of death.

You have to remember that just because one country has a law doesn't mean that another country MUST have a similar law.

Doesn't attempted mugging mean that you tried to stun someone but didn't? Assault and battery means that you did stun someone.

I don't think that attempted murder isn't a crime. I think people are confusing that with the fact that no one can be charged with attempted murder on a tribunal member.

Nope, it's just not a crime in the Empire.

Attempted mugging is failing to stun someone. Assault and battery is stunning them.
