I think shamans really need a low level damage spell to level with or alternatively enhanced damage or something like that.
Leveling a medium/small-sized race with one attack per round until journeyman REALLY takes a long time. Call lightning can't really be used to level with as most of the training areas are inside...

My shaman is about the level I want it now so it should only be for future players that wish to try the profession.

Shamans get cure light - if you can twink even a tiny bit you can level until expert pretty quickly with only that spell.

Twink isn't on the Dralan skillset. :(

Get a 2-handed storebought axe, and some brass, and you're perfectly fine. Frenzy yourself when you get the spell.

Use cure light on undead. It works as a damage spell.

Wah lah...low level damage spell.

What the **** is with this ZOMG CURE LIGHT bull? I have NEVER EVER EVER, used cure light to level a shaman. I TRIED with my current, and it took like 85% of my mana pool to kill ONE of the undead in the Outpost.

(Using HEAL on the mummies under Morea however, is great.)

In theory that would work, in reality it really doesnt. There aren't many areas with undead you can level from plus undead have 2xHP compared to normal NPCs.

Its not like shamans would be overpowered for a lowlevel damage spell like magic missile without range or something like that.

In theory it works, in practice it works. Last week I leveled a priest to expert through only cure light. The hard part is knowing which undead NPCs to level on.

And being a lighty certainly also helps as it is 2x damage. The same cant be said for greys/darkies.
