Skybolt Iolak Quest

I know I mentioned this to an Imm who was online at the time, but do you know whenabouts this will be fixed?

Probably never. I bug logged this (several times) back when I was doing quests with my current character which is probably about 25 weeks ago.

The quest is finicky and there is a lot of ways to do it wrong. It worked last time I tried though. Are you doing everything right?

There are four things you get. I got them all, and gave them in one at a time. I think on one of them I MIGHT have given it too early or something, while she was addressing my friend. I don't know. I recall her not acknowledging that one, even though she had acknowledged the one before it.

But now whenever I try to give her the things, she tells me I already gave them to her, all of them. And yet doesn't acknowledge that I completed the quest.

The script is a bit botched on that quest. If you hand Iolak the items too fast or another PC walks into the room with you, it gets messed up. The way to solve this is to start it anew by going back to the NPC that flags you with it.

That's not true. I've made sure to get everything registered before trying to hand over another item, and nobody was in the room with me or entered the room and this quest still doesn't function correctly.

What I do is count to 15 between each item. That way you know it was accepted. Sometimes, killing iolak and starting over works.

but not always.

What do you mean, back to the NPC who flags you with it? Iolak is the one who flags it. If I go back to her, she says "Did you get the stuff?"

If I give it to her, she says I already gave it to her.

If I say "I don't need supplies" or whatever, the thing that normally starts the quest, she just reminds me what stuff she asked me to get.

How would you go about restarting the quest?

EDIT: rofl... so I killed Iolak and took her key. When I used it to unlock a chest, this happened.

Nope, Iolak is not the one who gives you the quest to begin with. Before you run into her, there is another NPC informing you that Iolak needs help. If you are circumventing that part, then there's your answer for it not working properly.

They're using OOC info to do the quest and messing it up! Curse and/or ban them all!!!!
