Fastest Leveling Class/Race

Human shaman was my fastest to GM. Since that character I haven't really plvled to GM, though, so I couldn't tell you if any of the combos I've played since would have been faster.

Giant merc levels quick.

Also an elf bard and a lighty human merc leveled quick for me also.

Fastest leveling to GM I think I had done with either Rayvorath (human hellion, full natural cha, short living race and spell spamming) or Oraeus (centaur warlock, druid, massively destroying large numbers of NPCs due to cabal spells).

Gnome warlock. Followed closely by, well, nothing seems to follow closely to gnome warlock, especially if you go Druid. Due to many recent changes it used to be wicked, wicked easy (thanks to an area that used to have 24 GM priests you could use leet tactics against) to lvl a gnome warlock. Utilizing the proper tactics and tools, I don't see why anyone with experience with the MUD couldn't get them to GM in 50 hours or less.

Now, as a newb, I would say griffon barb, especially in a tribunal or griffon shaman in the Fist. Griffon barbs rape purely because of the stat rolls in the beginning (if you answer the questions correctly, you have str, dex and con maxed after using your initial 3 stat trains, then it's 25 hp trains from there). Griffon shamans in the fist own purely because size large, innate claw attacks, spirit aura, high physical stats, sanctuary. Just ridiculous overall.

Don't base your character on how fast you can GM, though, GMing is the easy part. Learning to utilize tactics properly as well as understanding of the game environment and areas is what really takes the time.

My fastest and easiest levelling was human priest.

Specifically, light aura, heavy armor, Hammer priest.

Human necromancer was my fastest. ~45 hours.

I have to agree with Gilgon on elf sorc as fastest in general however.

almost no need for armor or most items, butch so no food cost after a while, and you don't need to buy weapons bc you can just use there claws.

yes...yes you did. BUT IT WAS STILL THE FASTEST!!!

Although my adept hellion was insanely fast too.
