Sounds like all the schools are decent except for Uxmal and North. While I've done quick corrective measures in the past, perhaps we can get some work donee to these to make them as appealing as the others. I like that some have better skills, some have better weapons, some have better armor, some have better NPCs, I think that is a good thing when there isn't one that's better than all the rest.

Of course, that's what makes it the worst starting zone. Still, not even the Black Hand gave it a pity vote?

The north is the most in need of a revamp. In my opinion, It should look at Taslamar or Ayamao (since those I think are the most recently changed) with the class separation as the structure to take. I would suggest using Ayamao's requesting NPC system because while others didn't like it, when I rolled a merc there, I would repeat my request over and over and fight 8-10 at once and gain a fair bit of experience doing so, and these NPCs would be fighter specific -- a bit more HP tough (I think) than what the mages were getting, which were weaker NPCs, but the XP gained was still very nice. Since a whole lot of necros and darkies run through the North, they would probably really enjoy a requesting gig more than running in and getting owned by the NPCs in the various prison cells currently in place .

The number of NPCs, and the respawn rate in the North's school is awful. The teachers are awful. The weapon and armor shops in the North (which are awful) are pretty hard to even FIND. The only decent thing about the whole area, is that there's like a weapon rack or something in it with some crappy weapons for free.

I think Uxmal has excellent flavor... in other words it feels like the place its supposed to be, it doesn't feel like a "zone" the way some places have turned into. But as a result the place on the whole is really confusing for anybody starting out there.

The only thing that could make Zhenshi area the best by far, is if there were actual trainers there. So far the trainers don't teach all of the amateur skills (minus lang) that is necessary for all of the classes. You get mad xp and it doesn't matter where I start my chars, they always make a trek to zhenshi for those mad xps.
