A Lavish Hall
The upstairs hall is much akin to the entry hall in the aspect of
construction. The lower half of the walls are paneled, while the upper
portion is laid with a textured wallpaper. A thin maroon rug runs the
length of the hall, kept clean by the employees of this establishment.
Above each doorway has been hung the inn's emblem, a crescent moon, against
a pitch black backdrop.

Two thing might have happened

1) He deleted
2) He type quit as you typed taunt, he did not attack so he was free to leave.

Doubtful because of the specific person involved? Don't forget someone else recently deleted to get out of a "losing" a fight.

I can say for fact he did not delete. I think the idea he typed quit as it happened is very very unlikely due to the amount of time, likely as was said that it was lag related.

How do you rationalize deleting to prevent a pk? I would rather get pked then waste all that time I put into the character.

They are superlame in the first place. So the characters don't matter to the player. In fact, possibly they've aliased the titles so they don't have to think about a concept the next time around. . . .
