I'm just curious. Is the "willpower" save broken, or something? Because I found it absurd that with like 25+ willpower(greater will on 5 pieces of jewelry and 1-2 on every piece of armor/shield) and the bless spell and 23 wisdom, my 9 art shaman could put herself to sleep within 5 casts usually. Sometimes even on the first or second try. Yet, with like less than 10 fortitude and 16~ constitution. It would usually take upwards of 6, 7, 8 castings to blind or deafen myself, unless I removed the ONE piece of greater fortitude eq that she wore.

I think that is why the sleep/charm combo is winning so much, WP doesn't seem to be doing it's job so well.

Yeah, you managed to put my priest to sleep too, from the first try. And that's a gnome with max wis and around 25 willpower.

:(

I've tested this out and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. My best guess would be the limitations of current computer hardware being incapable of generating truly random numbers.

Charm person works so well because the average player doesn't bother to carry enchantments that increase their willpower. I've had several hostile charm person attempts on my current character and none of them have succeeded.

The average player though, is a sitting duck when it comes to dealing with this spell (or any spell, for that matter).

Maybe you just have a naturally tired shaman. Sometimes I fall asleep without casting anything.
