I recently upgraded to Vista and have found that SimpleMu is not compatible with it. Right now I am using CMud, but it's only a 30 day trial. Can anyone recommend a simple MUD client that is compatible with Vista? I'd especially like one that flashes in the tool bar when there is activity of some sort.

Thanks.

(sorry if this has already been asked, I did a search though and found nothing)

MUSH client is the only one I know of so far, besides ZMUD that's compatible with Vista.

Well, my laptop didn't have a lot of GB, but now I have a new laptop with Vista (the new ones only come with Vista) so I need a new client :(

Within Vista there is a XP compatibility option that can be checked if you right-click on an executable or even, as I recall, the shortcut to said executable itself. Worth a look but doesn't always work.

I was about to say that if you right click and goto properties, there is a tab for compatibility. There you can switch it to xp mode. That works for about 99% of the programs that I know that don't work on vista.

http://www.ggsoft.org/ggmud/

Opensource mud client. supports tintin++ & zmud scripts as far as I remember.
I used it for a while in Vista until I purchased Cmud.

Scroll down to a bit and there is a link beneath where it says download I believe.

Free download, and a decent client. its MUSHCLIENT as many have suggested.
