I agree with whoever said you can make a small raiding party with these things. When I played Treno, with enough prep I could take Exile alone. Treno + Pet + Charm + Bondservant + Trib Guard is far too much for anyone to take alone.

I never really liked them personally, even though they have heaps of glaring weaknesses and are sub-par for a barb of their level. At the end of the day, they are still a free NPC that will fight for you. Something SK really doesn't need.

And on a sidenote for the magma, it still sucks. And I play a centaur merc.

Remove them. Too powerful and limited. It's been up so many times with nothing but a few fervent defenders, who coincidentally are the ones who use them. They should go.

So... from what I gather... your argument, people, is that the above is too overpowered as opposed to GM tribunal guard, tribunal guard's dominate, pet, delf sorc, charm1, charm 2?

I mean, 5 npcs + 1 player vs 6 npcs + player. The single bondservant npc, is the factor that makes the above overpowered, and not the fact that it's FIVE NPCs contolled by ONE player?

Seriously, even if you remove them, I doubt it will change things much. Okay, so you won't be hacked at by FIVE NPCs and one that follows verbal commands, you'll be hacked at by FIVE NPCs alone. Can't see much of a difference at that level. Sorry.

So, whatever, remove them or not, I fail to see a difference in single-man-armies.

For everyone supporting removing the Bondservants, I would like to see suggestions on a replacement shop that would assist the Northern economy as much as the bondservant market. They are literally the only thing people purchase when they come to Kol's Moot.

Removing it is a huge nerf to the North.

I propose to have the bondservants flee when engaged with any group that has a PC in it, or a single PC. It would still make them useful for pve, which can be necessary with the decline of our player base.

???
I saw 40 players online on Wednesday... I wouldn't call that a decline... Unless all of the Greeks are back, that's about 30 new players that weren't here 2 years ago :P

Two years ago, sixty was the average of the day. Bondservants are fine in my opinion.

That is a made up figure, just to clarify. Sixty has not been the average of the day for much longer than two years.

More like 4 years ago, infact there was a decline from November 23, 2004, however there has been a steady climb back.

Give the north their own variety(flavor) of tanso steel armor, equal with both Tas/Nerina/Menegroth. Next, more quests that involve the outside world, and are outside of that area that the Hand likes to hide in and spam-search for people wandering around (better known as the area outsiders have to do a quest just to get in). A reason to spend time in a city is a reason to spend money in a city. Lastly, while I see ghostfire warhorses all the time, I don't see anyone with Northern storebought weaponry. Maaaybe that could use a facelift, too.
