You say to a barely-described male half-elf 'Pardon me but... I seem to be suffering from short-sightedness. It seems that all I can see is that you have blue eyes and black hair. Mind telling me if you're short, tall, fat, thin, strong- or weak-looking?'

I usually just stick with hair colour or eye colour as an adjective (occasionally height or weight). There are times when my character won't be feeling very charming, very bewitching, very friendly, very menacing... and a mood-oriented adjective seems as if it would limit roleplay, more than foster it. It's just easier to make it something physical that wouldn't change, as opposed to a mental state that easily could.

I could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Adjectives vary. I could try to spend more time policing adjectives and descriptions. Its just not something I could do across the board, so I choose to focus my energy on other things generally. Blaring issues usually come to my attention. I feel that's the best way to deal with the situation. I'm available to help with advice or spellchecking or whatever, if someone wants help. Generally the person who wants help already has the resources at hand. I certainly don't go hunting down people based on a gameplay discussion. If there's a problem send a private message or email and I'll happily attempt to find resolution.

So you and your five friends are all leaving due to poor descriptions? I just want to be sure I understand. I think it's understood that one game cannot be all things to all people, but if you are leaving due to a lack of something that we are actively trying to promote in our game, I would like to know about it.

I think he is responding more to people's attitudes towards other players.

Perhaps have Dulrik implement some tools to make this easier? Like editors that don't accept less than a certain amount of text, or a pager system that indicates when someone has completed a description or crossed a certain level threshold without one?
