You don't have to INSTANTLY go from naked to INVINCIBLE WARRIOR!!!!!! God damn. Enchant a couple pieces, then do something else.

Again, in order to PvP, you -do- have to do this. Or have you completely forgotten your charm scroll thread that you just made an hour ago?

There's more to the game than PvP. And if you can't spend a few days avoiding PvP while you get your suit together, maybe you need to think about that. (Already died once, maybe take a break!) Again, this won't do anything but promote spam dying.

Maybe people should just stop looting. I wouldn't junk loot, if I could kill someone, leave their eq, and not have them attacking me 30 seconds later. But people are idiots. Multiple times this past week or two did I return full sets of eq to people to literally have them fighting me again just minutes afterwards.

People who spam die are people who don't get their stuff enchanted at all anyway: That's the definition of spam dying. As much as I appreciate your self-righteous banterings on how you benevolently let people keep their gear ocassionally, that has nothing to do with this.

If anything, this will discourage spam dying, by giving people an approachable way to have their stuff enchanted instead of just flying off the handle and trying to PvP naked.

One of the biggest draw back to SK is the fact that you have to devote so much time and effort into enchanting and brewing. It takes away from alot of play. I have no idea how to fix that problem I didn't even vote.

Brewing is nowhere near the cost of enchanting.

In order to stand a chance in pvp, you need to put a whole lot of time into preparation. Some players just don't have the time for that, and i don't think it's fair that they can never stand a real chance in pk.

Making enchanting easier might help solve this, but I think it would ultimately encourage spam dying, since people would stop caring about their eq.

It's also a huge nerf to spellcasters. They might seem overpowered, but it's really not that hard to die as a sorc. At least not for me. :-?

You can extremely easily get 6 enchants (no MR) on all your eq, boat loads of cloth/mithril/diamond/addy/energy START WITH 4-5 ENCHANTS. 7 armor pieces, 6 jewelry pieces. 6 x 13 = 78. Not even counting shield/about body.

Would you like to give me some numbers for that? Seriously, I'd appreciate it. How many hours for a SIX enchant on each piece suit without MR? And how many are willpower enchantments? Because I'll tell you, if at least 30 aren't, then ALL those enchantments are going to get jlooted by someone else.

Syn is actually quite right on this one, I'm probably the most picky enchanter to ever play the game, if you're only trying to get 6 enchants without MR on a piece of loot, it'd probably take maybe 2 or 3 fades/explodes. Maybe 10 minutes a piece(at most) including sleeping. That's also assuming that the gear starts with nothing, like Syn said, a lot of higher end gear comes standard with 3-5 nice enchantments already on it.

Really the only sort of enchanting that's time consuming is the sort of enchanting I did or had done for me when I played. Which would be 10+ enchants on each piece of gear with minimal MR, then you're looking at hours upon hours invested in a suit. The upside is, you're practically immune to any sort of spell in PvP or otherwise.

It's part of 'the grind' of the work needed to be at the top of the tactical game. I've rarely had the time, and thus have rarely imposed the time on someone to kill that amount of time enchanting. The result seems to be - when I take the time, that gear will be gone in less than a week. Really dulls my motivation.

I think if anything is to change, it's the rate they learn the spells and perhaps to up the success rate a bit. So the more average player can be more apart of the game. Not just those for whom this game is their primary playground.

Leave it. We can't make this game TOO easy.

Enchant armor would be fine if the success rate for adding reflex enchantments would be increased a bit.

I don't think I've spent more than 2 hours cumulatively enchanting a kit. Sometimes there has been a piece that has been stubborn and aggravating but it has always (eventually) bent to my will.
