Your post doesn't make sense. He didn't say what, if any, trigger he was using. But if the trigger was assisting him in leveling, then it certainly was benefiting him illegally. Rules are rules regardless of how you feel about them.

I don't have the trigger made, but before I make it, I want to be clear about something.

I type: look NPC (in combat)

I have a set of triggers setup that if it sees Right/left arm is mangled

It changes the aim to aim lower.

So here it is:

My action I type: l NPC
trigger: right arm is mangled
effect: aim lower

is that a legal trigger or not?

Any script that creates an input for your character is illegal. You can have a script to highlight the mangled arm status in big bold type. But you can't have it enter a command in response to that.

Is it legal to have a script that gives you an option to do an action that requires you to press a key? In this case changing aim, but could be a lot of other cases as well.
I was told this was okay - but I never bothered to actually do a script like this...

I wasn't using a trigger. My kid hit the keyboard and caused some of my alias to fire off and caused some attention I guess from an imm's perceptive and then when the imm came to see what was up, no reply. From what the imm was saying when I came back, he thought I had an afk bot.
