That isn't much of a problem anymore, since there's lag on potions. Since potion-use is a HUGE part of end-tier PVP, new players should get a sense of their use early on - and this would be accomplished perfectly by offering very affordable potions with low level spells, early on.

Additionally, I would see no problems by removing the time-rot from unlimited pots, be they empty, brewed or pre-imbued. However, all limited potions, be they for player-brewing or pre-imbued ones, they should decay over time.

How about this? They do not rot but after a certain about of time there chance to fail increases. So after 1 week it goes down 2% or so.

Yeah that's totally worse. I honestly don't see the point in making the unlimited potions evaporate. Ever.

EDIT: Except for just making you play more without actually doing anything. And that really just pisses me off.

This is a good example of why I don't usually talk about ideas for the future. There is no definite plan to put more economy systems into place. Expansions might happen someday, or they might not. If it doesn't, I'm comfortable with what we have right now. The current system was not planned with further additions as a requirement.

So don't go holding your breath for new economy features. I've already said we will tweak as necessary. The next new system will probably involve a completely different section of the game, not the economy.

Let's also not forget how easy it is for a mid-level rogue to come in and steal your container with your armor and all your things (which amounts to over 100 or 200lbs) that you're carrying in your inventory. I mean seriously, it's so easy for a thief to run off with several hundred pounds of items without your knowledge.

Leave us out of this.

Two weeks ago I bought 300 vials. They started off at 1.5 plat a piece, and ended up somewhere at 9 plat a piece :(

By the way Dulrik, this is another reason why the economy system needs to have a cap on perishable goods: There's no way to keep the masses from being punished on the actions of the few.

To screw with the vial economy.
