I know this is about to be a fairly unpopular answer, but sometime I don't want to Rp. So I don't play the game. I don't want to level or get killed 30 times exploring because I am a mediocre player. Every now and then those things are the only things I can keep my mind on. But for times like now, it just the whole game, not the people on the game or certain mechanics of it.

When I do want to do those things, it's been the boringness of leveling. I know when I'm about to go on a sk break when i start leveling and watching t.v. at the same time. Not because leveling is hard where I am, just because I'm bored. I'm not very good at leveling as well, so at least half my hours on any character tend to be leveling. That's half my game time of something I may not be having fun doing. Other than that it's i don't have the RL time to deal with whatever consequences my player character's actions have.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game. I just don't want to play it sometimes.

There's only one player in SK that isn't mediocre, and he knows who he is.


The main draw of SK has always been "Grass Is Greener" syndrome, where you slowly forget all of the annoying things about the game after you've quit and eventually wonder why you left for another game you now find just as annoying in the first place, coming back like an Alzheimer’s patient.

I've found most people jump between SK and WoW but my drug of choice is a lovely Dragon Ball Z role playing game. (Namekian pride!)

Other + Leveling:

Too many fruitless roleplays. Too little respect from select parties. Too little inclination to care anymore.
