... should be allowed and cause low level (5-10%) chances of stuff like: lowered speech skills(like berserk), confused movement (like warped space), poison, blindness, sleep (passing out, of course). *all of them and/or combos if possible would be nice*

So instead of that stupid "you are too drunk to drink more* routine, you could feel free to with the chances of side-effects, hell, make them compounding and increase the length of drunkenness!

Just throwing that out there, it could add a new element to drinking. Especially if sleep was involved for passing out, then you could have drinking contests.

Hahaha yeah, this sounds like fun. Simply don't forget to maintain a warning (newbie friendly) when one is about to enter that level of drunkness, and it sounds like a really interesting idea.

Just in case Dulrik was wondering. Playing with the code that manages drunkenness in SK is not a priority. It sounds cool, but do we really need this?

I'd like to add an absolutely resounding no to this discussion. I can think of maybe a hundred code issues I think would be more important. For instance the addition of a racial ability that allows dwarves to shoot their back-hair out in a defensive plume, temporarily lowering the accuracy of their adversaries.

It would be a fun add. I have to say the 'you're too drunk' response is boring and thus none of my char's ever drink. What's the point in taking one or two drinks and then being stopped by the code. That is not fun.

Uh, instead of having Dulrik and them do all the work, just use emotes more?

For the record, I never said it should be a priority. I just think it would be neat. :)
