That is really the only choice that needs to be made, before you can begin to think about other avenues of IMM time being spent. Many throw out ideas without thinking about time constricts, workload versus ability, and personal issues and cohesion. Does anyone on the Imm staff have any management or HR experience?

HR experience? WTF Seriously? In my experience HR people are completely worthless. They try and find sciencific explainations for what people do naturally. Such a waste of time and money.

Correction. The HR people you have encountered our worthless. I have never worked directly in HR, but I would not run my company without them. Of course, I only let my HR do work related to gaining employees and making sure we have "apps in the box" so to speak. Department heads need to do the foot work of ensuring moral and that their employees follow the rules. I agree that too many corporations have fallen to the way side, because they have given to much control to their HR.

But back to the point. I was really just saying that Dulrik should look for his next IMM to have actual real world experience in managing something. At least 2+ years. I am just seeing to many "rookie" mistakes from people that shouldn't be making them.

The biggest limiter on advancing the game is the number of volunteer hours put in. Nobody gets paid for the demanding work the game needs. I think the existing staff is of excellent quality, highly organized, and quite level headed. There are incidents that occur, but I think the staff quality has improved a great deal in the years I've played the game. The problem is in promoting quality staff, the number of available hours has diminished greatly. I'd love many more staff members, but the job takes a lot of patience and determination. Even when you've proved your worth over thousands of hours and years of dedication, its still a simple misspoken word or misunderstood act that drives players to scream about what we've done.

I've got years of management experience. I've organized numerous events in real life. I've owned my own business. I'm a union steward in the Teamsters local 541. I'm pretty certain I have all the experience required to manage a staff. Its hard to manage volunteers. Mostly you just try to say thank you a lot and help solve their issues.

The number of IMM hours compared to five or six years ago is a fraction of what it was. Does that make sense? We'd love to build you lots of new areas and new quests and new code additions and races and classes and all the things that make the game more exciting. Its hard work with the resources at hand.

Demonstrate your willingness to contribute by being patient, determined, and conscientious. The better the community in SK, the easier it is for the staff to thrive. Cooperate and compromise more. Play the harder, less thrilling role. Be willing to take defeat. Accept that we are all working for a better game, even when we make mistakes. Don't blindly accept that the IMMs are the final word in the game, but respect our efforts enough to see that in the end we do want to make the best free online RPG that we can.

:D I think I want to be a SK IMM when I grow up!!!!111one11!!

This is off topic but what skills are required to become an IMM? What degrees? What knowledge? Any info helps.

On topic, was minotaurs not pretty new? How many of them do you see running around? I think some new skills would be fun, such as the barb skill supress. There is so much to explore in SK that people are missing out on. I think from this day forword SK should stand united! Not divided! Who cares about your friends you play with oocly, try something new, something different and make it work! I think this game and the playerbase has so much potential!!!! Just remember the diference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.

P.s. no spell check on this cell phone, and I love being a father!

You all know I don't know much about game mechanics, that being said... Here are my thoughts: Marfik is God of Chaos. Marfik has a role to play as well as we do. I do not agree with how everyone plays thier role, but I am not a God. (Nor do I want to be one.) I LOVED Halela's roleplay and I if I were said God, I would had pointed my finger and changed her brain/ alignment

Good luck Halela, you're fun to play with.
