Honestly, I really don't think that's viable elven RP. This isn't plain prejudice. This is something so ingrained in elven and deep-elven psyche that it's impossible to overcome. If I was immortal I'd consider this a curseable offense. If you don't want to RP that aspect of an elf or a deep-elf, then don't play the race.

All right. I was putting religion first, but I guess the consensus is that this was the wrong choice.

I interact with elves all the time and it doesn't involve threats or PK.

I'm going to assume that hopefully Liri wasn't being serious with her last post in saying "A lot of people who've posted here are against me, so I must be wrong and should delete my character," because that's absurd. Enmity, while present in every elf and deep-elf, is not the same cookie-cutter emotion across every PC. Mine in particular is a very strange breed (Heck, I'd ressurect an elf almost every time I got the chance), and I don't give a crap what anyone else thinks about how I deal with elves on my character.

I also hope that Liri doesn't delete just because of some criticism. I certainly have nothing against her or her character, I just think she's made the wrong choice in one aspect in her RP.

I don't care what they say. I think your rp is awesome and how you feel about deep-elves is roleplayed as genuine. I don't think you have to rp like everyone else.

I think it's ridiculous to try and criticize someone's RP on the forums. (Unless there are blatant issues, and logs.) People have NO idea of any circumstances or anything. What if an elf made an oath to do whatever a deep-elf says, to save the lives of someone or something?

I wasn't trying to single Liri out, I meant to refute the arguments she provided for a differing view of enmity. I think the helpfiles are clear and I disagree with her opinion that religion can "trump" enmity. Obviously, since I'm not an immortal my opinion doesn't mean any more than anyone else's. But I stand by that opinion.
