From what I understand, bards are something that he did from scratch.

If that is the case, I could damn hope so that he knew them off the top of his head.

Eh, with as much code as he goes through and changes when its needed I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt know it all off the top of his head. Then again I suppose I wouldbt be if he did as well.

Not to mention art was added after bards, which had a lot of other things involved in it: It's very understandable to not recall exactly what was affected in every class in a year-old change that you made to a free online game that you host.

If Art didn't affect some of the bards skills in some way, you wouldn't be allowed to train it.

It's been established since art was implemented that scrolls are affected by art. Songs are also affected in some way as has been stated by the IMMstaff, but exactly what songs and exactly how will probably always remain a mystery.

I have been pondering bards some. I know art is useful for some song effects even if you dont use scrolls so I would imagine training it is good. How about hp? Bards from my understanding have a not so great hp pool to start with, would 10 hp trains make a difference or would it be better to get other stats like str?

From my experience, you won't have enough points to dump into HP to make it worth while being that bards need pratically every stat. Unless you are familiar with a lot of mods, I wouldn't go the route of HP. Bards are more of a second row fighter anyways, and should always be behind someone or something and not getting hit as much as possible.

Bards only get like 3 HP trains, and that will not be significant enough to save you from anything, Edoras's speculation not withstanding.

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest it for a new player. High CON, however, very important.

But I'd still train HP if I rolled a bard!!! *Shakes fist*
