I thought it was... :(

Sorry. No offense intended. Which, in a way, brings us back on-topic, doesn't it, huh?

As Locke says best, entering a city is a tacit consent to the laws you enjoy there. There was an easy way to avoid the problem that didn't require any coding.

Yes, but we didn't realize the guy was outlawed. Either way, you've missed my point entirely. I am not advocating for coding change. I'm asking whether coding change has happened on the sly or whether this was some kind of bug.

What were you outlawed for? Did you pick something off of the dead guy's corpse?

Dead guy was an NPC, picked up nothing, cast no spells, had no pet front row. Only possibility is that my pet (I was mounted in back) kicked dirt, but I'm pretty sure we were all flying.

[Edit] And I have still to check what I'm outlawed for - didn't have anyone on at the time who could look for me.

Due to people's complaints that third-row healers were capable of participating in city raids without consequence, the code was changed to outlaw everyone in a group participating in the commission of crimes. You were outlawed because you were grouped with the people who killed the NPC.

Thanks OA. Was this posted on an update somewhere or did you just figure it out for yourself?

It was posted on a code update. Possibly the most recent, or the one just before that.

I see no problem with it. If you are with someone who commits a crime, in some situations you can also be charged, even if you did nothing. RP with the city leaders if you feel it was unfair. If they do not consent to pardoning you, live with it?

I wanted information. I got it. What part of that do you not understand?
