Seriously though, what is up with taunt? I've noticed it on a few npcs too, I didn't try moving just went onto attacking another npc, but the affects were still there after killing the taunter.

I'm assuming you were probably sarcastic, but I'm planning a campfire with one of my characters now....

I wonder if the second half of this bug (i.e., any NPC in the room being tagged as the taunter) is related to the fact that NPC thieves can't pick locks with other NPCs in the room.

Does the issue occur also if you have a pet with you but kill the taunting NPC?

I think so, when this happened to me, it was the taunting NPC, my pet and myself. Nothing hidden or invis, no other NPC or pc walked in or out or through during the fight.

Any thoughts on whether this bug will actually be fixed? It seems like it may be more code-intensive than most fixes.
