Is there a link to information stating concisely that a certain race can be which classes? And which class can be obtained by which races?

I'm not seeing this info organized in this fashion for a new person to the MUD, am I just missing it?

Like so: (Made up) Scouts can be human, half-elf, dwarf, centaur, etc...

OR Dwarves can be mercenaries, barbarians, priests, etc...

If you think that making helpfiles more readable for newbies comes under the 'joys of exploration' meme then more power to you.

I don't see a large portion of new people testing character after contributing power with the idea of sticking around and contributing to the SK community because the helpfiles are not clear.

Letting folks know what kind of character they can be in a simple format may reduce a barrier to new character generation. I wanted this information to point at when talking to new people.

If you feel information obscurity helps new people perhaps this newbie help section could be abolished so we can have more people experience the joys of exploration.

I fully agree, there should be some basic help file on race/class possibilities. Not saying which races are best for which class, just what each race can be.

The website could show this in the...races section? That would be like the classes showing their skill lists.

It would be much more helpful for newbies to be found in game rather than having to look on the website IMO.

Or even both. The better the idea you can get of what gameplay is like just by looking, the more likely you are to play.

Has anyone else noticed there's no "Crazy Lightie" alignment, but there are crazy options for the others?
