If you can hide, you can figure out if you're sneaking.

Dang, that is true. This Korean blood of mine betrays me!

I would settle for actually having some sort of way for telling if you are actually sneaking or camouflaged.

Give me a generic message please! Just something!

Oooh, I'd vote for something for that, and why not invisible too, to be an option in the prompt settings. I see no entry for %S for State that would return "hide, invis, ethereal, fly" (one of or any combination, of course)

I think that would be neat.

Sigh. Its seems the whole point of this thread has been lost with requests to change things that already work fine. Its the generic, non-specific echos I am concerned about. I just find it so boring to see the same echo for some some of the most used spells the game (the detects) and its a pain to know what spell wore off with the protection and armor.

I initially agree with you, but the effects command (affect) does the job. Most of the time, since I use vt, I know what buffs I lose without having to read their echo anyway.

It would be nice if each spell had a unique set of messages. It wouldn't be difficult at all, I don't think, to do so? Unless there were Spell-Like versions around that would also need an edit...

also, sorry for hijacking your thread :P

Yes, this is true. While I understood the initial request, I found it much more entertaining to pretend it was something else. My apologies.
