Standing behind a pet is kind of standard procedure here. :P If you don't do it you'll probably die pretty fast.

The Cure all to this entire argument is make it have a concentration cost, light, buffs die with their holder, so should debuffs.

Some buffs do. Im not a fan of all buffs/debuffs dying with their holder though. I think blindness is a viable tactic in pk, and there are plenty of ways to prepare to get around it including scout herbs or even buyable items of cure blindness.

Perhaps blindness should only last half as long when used by an NPC.

I do not know how easy this would be to code, but presumably blindness could gain an IF/THEN/ELSE tag that looks for the NPC flag.

SK Character: RAWR!
Half the time would be PLENTY for PVP effectiveness. Period.

Those of you complaining about the duration of the blindness spell have obviously never waited out a curse spell.

You got that right, blindness could be a hell of a lot worse. Like, say, permanent until cured by a priest. Like death.

Certainly, none of us have room to complain when compared against any spell that forces a delete/delete without a save.
