Knight yourself. Then call yourself High Knight. Then put a no-dachi in someone's grill if they question you.

Some of the richest roleplay comes from your own imagination. The world is full of NPCs that cannot properly respond to your actions, so it is up to you to fill in the gaps where they cannot. If you imagine having an in-depth conversation with the local meat vendor then there is no reason why that didn't happen. If you imagine an intricate plot that involves you being knighted, then there is no reason why that didn't happen.

Ultimately the mechanics of the game exist to provide a fun and fair experience for everyone involved, and as long as you are not breaking any rules then go for it.

If your guy has the cajones to knight himself and can back it up, then do it. It seems natural that with nobody else around to either mentor him or to knight him, a squire can eventually take the title for himself.

I've played a hellion when there were few hellions around, and certainly none whom my arrogant character would have squired himself to. At some point in time, the character realized he had already taught himself more than any other knight ever would, and for some reason his god still gave him favor, so he took it as a sign to call himself a knight. My hellion's high priest never blemished my knight and no other hellion or evil priest ever challenged his right to the title.

I don't think the scenario would be any different if I were playing a paladin in the same situation.

Yeah you could just RP being knighted by Sir Corvus in Seawatch or some crap. Wait, don't do that because I'm doing it first

Maybe have a peacekeeper rp with you and control one of the NPCs like Bynas or whatever he is called near thier HQ to knight you.
