On my gnome lock I maxed it to 14 and had int/wis/con maxed with 16 cha. I ended up with maybe 2-3 points to throw into mana trains before the big update. I barely, barely ever saw reduction saving throws against any NPCs unless they were GM/overpowered anyway.
You -do- realize that art makes absolutely no difference unless the target is wearing reflex, right? That is to say, against a naked target, 0art is as good as 14art. Do you also know that very few NPCs are decked out in reflex gear?
You do realize that you're wrong right? Art changes the curve of the probability of your "dice roll" and it does make a difference. Adding art will reduce/eliminate the number of reduction saving throws on a naked NPC. If you don't notice this, it's not my problem.
Code:
[Training help] Art
Syntax: train stat art
Also known as spellpower, training art improves your magical technique,
[b]making it more difficult for enemies to save versus your spells[/b] that you
cast or from spells by your magical devices. It does not actually make the
spells higher level, so the amount of damage and time they last is not
affected. The number of times you can train art depends on your class.
I don't give my information from supposition and never have. It's all purely from observable fact. Like I said, you can feel free to prove me wrong with some solid evidence.
