Is it just me, or did that not answer the question in big bold letters at the top of the page? I don't mean to sound jerk-ish, lol.

I like to remain optimistic in that fact that he has not abandoned the game, and if he had, he would say something. So naturally I assumed he was busy. The question was, is he okay?

As all of us do at some point, I thought perhaps he had just hit a point where he needed to take an extended break from running the game. If so, it would be a bit sad that any amount of stress has accumulated to the point where that was necessary. If so, I say we all pitch in $5 into a paypal account and buy him a relaxing weekend at a spa

Perhaps where little halflings can walk on his back for a massage....? I'm kidding of course.

My fear is that with the low numbers of daily players lately, perhaps he thinks his services are not needed as much :( . I truly hope not.

I think his lack of presence in the game correlates with the lack of players. If he doesn't care, why should we? If Obama walked out tomorrow and announced that there was no hope, and said "No, we can't.." and then just left on an extended vacation, yeah, the country would probably still be okay in the hands of congress and Biden (lol) and other leaders. But would we care any more? I mean, the LEADER just walked out, and said he there was no hope. What does that say to people? It says "screw off, I'm done with this BS." At the rate we're going, SK will be down forever in the next two years. If that thought doesn't bother Dulrik, who cares?

Could be worse, Dulrik could be here and start coding his illogical ideas back into the mud. Recall costing XP.... what a [REDACTED].

I think there might be more to it then that. Muds in general aren't that popular and there are many other factors too. Summer time is a big deterent to mudding.

I don't completely disagree though. On the other hand, This is Dulriks hobby. It's not a job for him. He doesn't have to do this. He doesn't earn money on it. So you get what he feels like giving you. He doesn't owe anyone SK.

He doesn't have to do it... but I'm definitely feeling the burn-out from his lack of presence. He can shut off the servers any time.

You know, I am too to be honest. I am too. I really like the updates. They are one of my favorite things about SK. It's ever changing, always improving. I've seen some great ones, and I've seen some things I wish wouldn't have been changed. It's all part of SK.

Bite your tongue woman!!

I would be SO pissed if Shattered Kingdoms was down for any extended length of time. If he wants a break, that is alright. The game will be waiting for him here when he gets back. If people are feeling burned out, that is understandable. Take a break too.

However, I am by no means in the same boat. I have only just recently picked the game back up after a break of several months. I am finally fully enjoying talking to the players on the forums. I am constantly checking it and the conversations I am having with people. I am also having a blast playing the game itself as well. I always manage to get stuck playing an adventurer class, but that is okay with me right now. It's been a LONG time since I have grandmastered a character, but that is okay with me. I just want to see where my character goes.

I would seriously go through with withdrawals, and spend quite a bit of time very depressed and sad, if the game just shut down. Please, do not put such ideas in people's heads. Keep in mind that other people still enjoy this game.
