Shattered Kingdoms

The world cup makes me wonder how hard it would be to code some sort of sport or game in SK. Instead of the ever-boring light vs. grey vs. dark or cabal vs. cabal, it would be nation vs. nation - and not really malicious.

Would it be hard to code a little "game" for something that's already IC somewhere - like groundball? The code messages could be random, like "the ball veers to the right! You almost make a score but veer at the last minute!"

I have a much more in-depth idea, but I don't want to take the time to throw it out if no one is interested. I would be happy to help/code/and take care of a majority of the global RP.

And vendors could sell vuvuzelas.

i will seriously quit SK, learn hacking, and destroy you if you put those FUUUUU- annoying instruments in this game.

PS: There's already a sport in-game, it's called CRS.

I say jousting because it's the same era roughly. Make it like best two out of three rock paper sissors. Like you have to input a comand within 10 seconds to aim upper lower and mid beats lower low beats upper and upper beats mid or something of that nature. And which ever country wins gets something cool

I will also say we could even set up the events to occur every 4 yrs in game like the olympics. Hero tourney 2 week of the month and world cup the fourth. It would give structure to when the tourneys would happen and everyone would know when the bonanzas are so the vets can gang rape the xp like usual and it would be a great time to introduce people to the game cause then they would advance quicker and enjoy the rp events....which is what it's really for anyway.

It would be interesting if there were always something special going on.

All too often, it's just the same players getting the same loot to kill the same players. There's no incentive to even bother acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to join such a pvp circle jerk to most I've attempted to introduce to the game.

Why don't you quit QQing and get better and gank those players, like they did all those years ago?

Jousting also sounds fun, moreso than groundball. I would be more than willing to help implement SK olympics/sports.

There should be jousting in some of the Hero Tournaments.
