The code updates are the reason I fell in love with the game. Now its all about waiting for that next one...something like the post you described grinding. :(

The paladin, hellion, scout, and bard classes would be absolutely wrecked by having polearms as the only reach weapons.

Meanwhile, the rogue class would get a largely undeserved boost, as well as making spellcasters far superior to the rest of classes again.

Paladin and hellion have polearm. So that's not going to affect them. Scout and bard classes have other options.

Agreed. Last I checked Paladins and Hellions did have polearms. Scouts have Bows which people really underestimate and bards have chords that can reach. Admittedly bards aren't really known for their damage output anyways.

Hellions and Paladins also have spells. And cleave? BoG? That wouldn't wreck the classes, would just make them have to use more options.

Psst... I think that's a spear.

But imagine the dual backstab...

A non-descriptive-adjectived male human's backstabs bursts through an adamantite-armored male giant's plate, plunging feet through his chest!

A non-descriptive-adjectived male human's second backstab pulverizes an adamantite-armored male giant's back, severing his spine!

An adamantite-armored male giant collapses to the ground, paralyzed!

You try playing with the polearm class of weapon. It'd just be like playing with brawling on your paladin or hellion

Ardith, I'm genuinely curious

How do you develop such a sense of the math of things to make such comparisons? Have you ever been able to see the numbers, or something?
