Griffons are fine as they are, assuming that they're not supposed to have the same potential as other races.

There is a trade-off. It takes very little time to build and play one that is relatively effective, but it's also nearly impossible to play one that is truly awesome.

If that's the way they're supposed to be (which probably is the case now that I think of it), then yeah, there's nothing wrong with them.

You're shortselling griffons. Although, the only combo that really has potential is MR griffarb, but then you become a hindrance to going places like the dreamscape and iron citadel and you'll never have adamantite weapons and shields really.

Yes they do, but so does any other race fistor shaman. I remember Mitch haveing a helf fistor shaman that killed almost the entire mc at once by himself. That log actually might even be on www.sk.[REDACTED].com.

The point is this. A griffon shouldn't need cabal powers to be as good as everyone else.

The difference is, just as Baldric put it, to GM a griffon fistor shaman for examle, you need NOTHING. No special gear, no enchants not anything, he's a standalone easy tool for leveling much easier than other races. In the end, the result can not be as powerful as if you rolled same class, other race, but comparing to the effort you put to level this race, it's only fair imo.

That is an advantage, not needing EQ. But I see that advantage as loosing value all the time as SK's perpetually shrinking pbase leaves more and more open EQ in the game. If there were 100 regular players on SK during peak hours and not 16 or so. I would say that's great, but to me, right now, I just don't think much of that.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Griffons Barbs is probably the dumbest griffin to roll. You know, due to repeat skills (like toughness)
