So I was looking around and comparing bows and such and testing them and I'm curious about something. Does enchanting bows help your ranged damage like it does with weapons or does that only work if you enchant arrows? (Which seems really, really tedious.)

I'm 90% sure that both the enchantments on the arrow and the bow matter with ranged combat, and 99.999% sure that enchantments on the bow matter.

You can't cast "enchant weapon" on an arrow.

I found out long ago that enchant weapon cannot be cast on ammunition.

However, there is still ammo that has enchantments on it.

There are holy symbols that have +weapon damage enchants on them.

How it all stacks is, as far as I know, a mystery.
