Just to clear things up. Whoever rewrote the script for this item intended to add some limitations. The script wasn't properly set up; that's what I fixed. Well, and added some of my own.

As far as I recall, it was not created from start to have those limitations. Those limitations were added by Achernar (if I remember well) when DA abused the item like hell and people cried about it. Just for the story of it. :D

Right. Though at the time Wert actually made the item, some of the current code wasn't active. Call it an adjustment to the current situation. That said, if there are other items that go around the code like that, please let me know.

I hate that necklace. I had it on Tshotha and was disgusted at how out of whack it was with the game. It was just to powerful.

That necklace is supposed to be one of the Legendary items across the realms, according to lore. Some of them were removed already and I think the game is actually poorer without them.

I suggest you allow those and similar items exist in the game. My objection, though, is that they are extremely easy to obtain as soon as they are available from a reset. Move them to areas where it's much harder to obtain them, make them perhaps the reward to a very hard group quest or something, but do not remove them or nerf them entirely.

You've given me a wonderful idea.

On the other side of this one area that acts sort of like a mobius strip, where these is a blade that scares all the people in the hands of a paladin...that place, make it a chamber with locked doors. The keys to get to those doors are easy to get, a simple quest or something. The hard part is getting your reward for that simple quest.
