Magma spray doesn't happen until 8 or so hours later.

Then give melee easier access to etherealform. Anyone who cannot use wands/scrolls cannot go ethereal unless they have access to some very elite items.

And if you need to taunt a sorceror to stay still, and a rogue to go ethereal just to kill that sorceror, do you not see anything wrong with that?

It shouldn't take teamwork between 2/3 people just to maybe kill 1 person.

The only person who can outright challenge a sorc is a rogue, and that is if (AND A BIG IF) they can get by their mirror images. But if a rogue has to pull out a scroll in front of the sorc and recite it, the sorc will be long gone before the recite lag is gone.

So what does a barb do 1v1 versus a sorc nothing, A merc nothing a swashie nothing, a shaman, paladin, hellion, scout, all those classes cannot kill a sorceror if they have instant ethereal access.

Maybe the problem isn't the wands or scrolls, but allowing etherealform to be used WHILE IN COMBAT. That would be an acceptable nerf.

What does a barb do 1vs1 against a necro with 50 wraiths?

Kill all the wraiths and then the necro. Simple.

Hell, Laechlyn you have access to guards with an ethereal SCRIPT.
