I had no problem taking Antiira's Lathron with Paddah, I'd hardly ever go below 75ish

You also had scripted gear and buffs out the wazoo...No offense but your average player doesn't stand much of a chance.

Hey, peso, remember when Paddah and Joseph walked into the no-magic room, and Lathron bashed and ganked you?

lol, nice.

Watching Edoras come to the rescue of his overpowered character's class is really really fun. I don't really have anything to add to that, just that it brings me so much joy I had to tell everyone.

I would suggest just making any charmable NPC unable to wield weapons, and give them some certain generic attack type, I'd assume that would be a wimp, but also probably a lot of work.

I am all for diminishing the presence of NPC wars in sk. Sorcs already have it made with a plethora of ways to gank people we dont need them walking into pk with (for example) four NPCs.

I'm a little torn - if you nerf charmies to the point where they're not remotely competitive with a GM warrior, and said GM warrior puts on a suit of reasonably enchanted armor, is the sorc supposed to just not bother fighting that guy? Lathron seems totally unmatched as far as charmies go. How does he compare to say, the air elemental, the giant legionnaire, or one of the trio? If Lathron is really completely OP and this is just coming to light now and has to be fixed, Ok, whatever. But let's establish a baseline and not just nerf charm persion into the ground.

Well played sorcerors are forces to be reckoned with. Paddah was widely considered as a barb to be scarier than Edoras's sorc, I think. Well played rogues or necros are pretty great too, and a good priest seems to turn a fight as decisively as anything else... and sorry to pick on a guy who's no longer around the forums to defend himself, but Lathron or not was anyone scared of Jaeyd?

Lathron might be more accessible to xxx random player than an elitely enchanted ritual spider-shaped dagger, but put Ariya or Xaaln up against an average player with Lathron and it's not that tough to pick a winner.

I think I snuck in this edit before any replies. The change I could really get behind is a "1 charmed NPC per person, wanded/casted or otherwise".

Paddah was just broken. A true testament to the ruggedness and toughness of a dwarf.

No, Paddah's necklace was broken and made him immortal, and Peso didn't make waves because he's a twink.

Appearantly all of you etherealform wands that made you escape countless times are broken too!

That, and when Paddah did gank you, it was using tactics. When you tried to gank him, it was using spam, and two NPCs at least.

You should have kept with the two barb NPCs, Paddah eats through Waish like nothing.

In defense of my character.

Paddah should always be considered far scarier than Antiira ever will be.

Ate, past tense. And without a swashbuckler it was impossible to kill Paddah.
