Magma spray isn't strong enough. Remove the penalty to it that it can only hit for double damage once. It did all of 29% damage to my elf paladin from a greybie warlock when I didn't even have resist elements or sanctuary up.

After that it's like you always make your save against the spell since it can't do additional damage, and the 15% I was taking from that just wasn't hurting all that much.

I think the real problem here is that the 'magic-resistant' thing that half the races have just makes magma totally useless against those races. Note this was 29% on an elf paladin. God forbid you try to magma a warrior class who has sanc/protection/RE.

Make RE unbrewable, remove all the RE items (or change them to do something else) from the game and BUFF RE for warlocks. Currently it serves like no purpose except to avoid cling on magma. It doesn't seem to affect like fireball/etc damage at all. It'd be nice if casting RE enabled you to do things like cast chain/fireball in the room you're in. But currently it seems to hurt the warlock just as much, if not more than the other people in the room.

For warlocks, the magic-resistant races are a massive problem. What is the warlock spell and skillset designed for? Dealing magical damage. Now, a sorc/necro fighting a halfling, have WAY more options than sitting and trying to kill them with spell damage. What is a warlock supposed to do?

Harm currently does about as much, or more damage than magma. And harm is affected by MP.

That's on a half-elven swashbuckler. (NOT magic-resistant.)

So, a FULL hit would've done 20%. Then all the magmas after that would've done 10%. I don't care wtf buffs he had (If any. I don't even know), that is ridiculous for what is supposed to be the strongest damage spell in the game to be so gimp. I can attest to the fact that the HARM spell will do 20% to a swashbuckler with 15 hp trains, through 30-40 MP enchants and the Shield spell. Every casting.

Note, this is just magma. The rest of the warlock spells are complete garbage too.

Yeah, that elf is probably low master.

For example, if she were GM I'd bet it would be doing 15/30% at LEAST, and I'm sure an elf can fit two magmas in between bashes. In other words... two bashes, at most three, and the warlock wins. If he's quaffed RE, then use lightning bolt.

And like I just said on the other site....

Spells don't change that much from 40-50.

Isn't there a log of her lightning bolt hitting you for 10% at like..veteran? Is a GM lightning bolt going to do 40% damage or something to Antiira?
