I actually tested this some on my last warlock. Lightning bolt seemed the best way to beat another warlock.

Then again, the people I was testing this with suck and I imagine they had no enchants.
Well there's your problem.

I would BREW your own IG, keep stone skin up VIA cast, and brew your own RE, nub.
Except they're a whole lot weaker in brewed form, scrub.

Not if you get the good vials, nubcakes.

Its like using an MI stave on a sorx, you don't want that concentration, so you use staves.

Ironguard happens to be better in OPed vials.

Yeah, you keep thinking that.

I fear I'm going to have to destroy your little mage, you cute little sprite.

Lelahiah utters the words, 'waowa gsgrul'.
You yell 'Hey! Lelahiah is attempting to kill me!'
Lelahiah unleashes a torrent of magma on you, charring your flesh severely!
You howl in agony as the magma clings to your body!
You pierce at Lelahiah's forehead, causing a small gash.
You pierce at Lelahiah's head, carving a bleeding hole in it!
You pierce at Lelahiah's chest, causing only a minor wound.
You dodge Lelahiah's attack.
Overall, Lelahiah has quite a few wounds.

Life 81 Mana 92 Move 100

good thing she can only do that one time, otherwise I might have to summon Dark-Avenger to speak of the overpowering status of magma spray.

Yeah, it's pretty dumb that magically resistant races can just laugh at magma spray.

I just realized that I never posted in this thread.

Warlocks are really, really bad.

Offensively, they lack any one-hit wonder like sleep, FoD, petrification, charm person. They're entirely dependent on damage. This would be fine, except all their damage spells are laughable, especially after the enemy quaffs or brandishes RE. Acid blast seems to be as effective as anything the warlock gets, and harm is much better for causing damage than magma spray. These guys don't even get scrolls.

Defensively, they're one of the easiest classes to gank. They're stuck in the second row, their elementals are dispelled first or second try, and both SS and IG are ignored by a large portion of weapons in the game.

The only thing warlocks really have going for them is healing rays, which is probably the best healing spell in the game. Fireball and chain lightning are neat, too, but only scary in a few particular situations.

Honestly, I have trouble even imagining how someone could get killed by a warlock who wasn't in the druids. I think you'd have to be AFK.

Killed or beaten? One on one? There are differences.

Sure, there were half-dozen legionnaires helping.

Details, Details.

This is in fact true. And yeah, second time had a bunch of guards helping.

First time, I wasn't really paying attention. Forgot I was outlawed and rift-hopped without any potions/etc out. Immunes blinded me and then I kind of just sat there.

Syn got ganked by Adroan.
True story.

Point being that Syn dying to a warlock doesn't really mean anything.
