It'd be more productive than half the crap that's up there.

I always wanted to write a book, but never really did... would any players be interested in forming a "book club" of sorts? More like a "Book writer's club" really, where we can spitball ideas, review each others works and grammar, and work together to get our ideas submitted to the appropriate Imms?

If this turns out to be a good idea, I can set up a phpBB forum for it on my server... would save the admins the trouble of making their own.

I've written up a few books, but never went through any channels to have them implemented in the game. I would be a part of this, could be fun. There is a lot of more recent IC history that hasn't been recorded and I think it is kind of a shame that it could all be lost.

I got a book added when I was a hero. It was badass.

A wiki would be more appropriate than a message board.

If we could be given the syntax for creating a book, the wiki could automatically "create building code" to import the book into the game, to boot.

This actually harkens to something I would like as a reward for being crowned (or whatever) hero. Sure amulets are great and all, but they are transitory like the characters themselves. But if you get to have something put in the game, like a book or something added to a room description or anything like that, it is long standing and in my mind a much better reward. It adds to the richness of the game world in the same way your being a part of it did during the character's lifetime.

There is a quote in Tlaxcala from the mage hero from two or three years ago and I always thought that was a pretty neat reward to go along with the amulet. I know, not the place for this but meh.

I'll be honest.

Until we get heroes decided on through methods other than PVP battle royale, we're never going to get a hero council that really jumps on any of these ideas.

My normal reaction would be to suggest you be my pet, but something tells me you are a bit high maintenance for my tastes.
