That was me whining, and you should have known better. It is obvious that if you declare war with another tribunal you should be trying to kill them, and you shouldn't enter their city peacefully and also help them defend their city. I had already thought of doing the same and then came to the realization that it would be an abuse of the code to do so. Whether you have a logical in-character justification for it is completely besides the point: Cthugan had a logical, in-character justification for his rusty knife and he got deleted, not because it was wrong for his character to do so, but because it was -against the rules.- They are completely separate issues.

As for whether or not tribs are "boring," tribunals are incredible for both survivability and utility. You can accomplish a lot more in kingdom-to-kingdom PvP on a much more reliable basis as a tribunal member compared to most cabal members, and your viable options in PvP are typically much more open as well. Don't forget law immunity either.

And that's why it was awesome.

Declaring a state of war is simply acknowledging you want to make war there. Surely, this game appreciates objectives with more creativity than just "haha let's roll up on the inn and jloot some guardians."

Oh

Wait.

grep, that was clearly an abuse of code.

Though, in your defense, you were circumventing rules that shouldn't have existed in the first place. You should be able to take your guards into an ally's territory, but like Sakhul said, that's not what's being discussed here.

You see, this is why nothing ever gets done. I don't care if you think banished/tribunal enemies should be unprotected by law, and you also want camo on the beach. Stay on the law issue.

A cautionary tale from a newb:

Don't pick up a friend's corpse when they haven't finished recovering their items from it ... and then be so helpful as to remove their items from their corpse and hand their items to them before taking their corpse off to bury it for them.

(They lacked the strength to carry their corpse)

You'll get charged with theft.

D'oh!
