This is probably somewhere out there but I am Le Lazy. Does art help holy word?

Does it help other priest's spells?

Should. The dispel should be checked by WP. Harm, SoF, FS would also be checked by MP.

Not saying of course art is super important for a priest, But you'll want some if you want to use scrolls to their full potiential.

Art will increase your saving throws for holy word dispel, scrolls with saves (up to 6 art trains will apply), staves with saves (up to 3 art trains will apply), spear of faith, flamestrike, and certain religious spells.

3 art is probably the standard build for priests. If you plan on using offensive scrolls a ton or if you are in a religion whose spell is good and can be saved against, you might consider 6 art.

As far as I know, no IMM has stated if art does indeed affect the dispel from holy word, and I don't think anyone has done adequate testing, either. Most people with experience seem to think that art does improve the dispel from holy word, however.

I would do 6 art for priests just because there are some very nice offensive scrolls and it does seem to make the dispel on your holy word much more effective.

To clarify, if I rolled a priest, it's likely I would train 6 art, but that's because I would use scrolls a lot and would probably twink out on my religion choice.

Harm doesn't have a save except for MR.

I would also train 6 art simply for scrolls. Even if you don't plan on twinking out your religion, you never know what you might come up against in PK where a scroll may just save you life.
