Do you think BoG is too powerful against deep-elves?
Totally is, they get raped by it! 28%  28%  [ 7 ]
It is too powerful, but they make awesome casters so it's fine. 8%  8%  [ 2 ]

Probably cold-iron.

To put it in perspective, failed save BoGs would have done more damage to her than the circle stabs.

I ask politely that the weakness code be looked at, then.

I mean, if two warriors meet, one of them wielding a normal weapon and the other wielding one of the material that the other is weak to.. It's fine if the numbers you see is one doing 50 damage vs 55-60 points of damage on the other, in that situation you still have other factors like dodge, parry and a slew of other things that get to decide the battle. After seeing Ibej getting rocked in 6 hits, and this circle stab from Satan... Weakness should be palpable, yes but it shouldn't guarantee a rape in a box.

Then don't play a race with weaknesses.

If BoG did not rape deep-elves, then it wouldn't be an innate weakness.

The only reason a BoG sucks more for a deep-elf then a FoD an elf, because the FoD will not trap the elf in combat with its attacker.

Casting time, but I guess the fact that FoD is scrollable, that makes up for it, huh?

Enchanted cold iron pigsticker, with GS, Prayer, Frenzy and her HP is probably super terrible.

The problem with weapons that exploit racial weaknesses lies with the builders who make "good" subtype weapons that can exploit racial weaknesses.

Imo, if you wanna exploit someone's racial weakness you should be forced to use either iron (which breaks easily) or a crappy subtype. However, if builders keep making cold iron pigstickers and whatnot, then racial weaknesses are gonna be that much more easier to exploit.

Yeah, because iron vulnerability is the only racial weaknesses that exists in SK.

Well, all I was seeing was a bunch of iron/cold-iron examples.

MI is a very good defense against bolt of glory. Necros, priests, rogues, and of course sorcs can all get MI. sorcs and priests get enchant armor. Mercs and swashies have good enough HP to handle it when buffed. sanc, protection, shield, MP, and reflex all mitigate the damage. Escape into the etherealform is an option for many, and paladins can't follow there, meaning that the paladin needs to group up with someone else anyways.

The fact that Edoras got hit for 50% by BoG isn't enough info. Thyki's log confirmed my own opinion of BoG as something that can be mitigated with buffs and enchants. I'll assume Edoras had MI and got unlucky, but did he have shield, sanctuary, and protection? Exactly how much MP/reflex was he wearing? BoG doing 50% to a delf sorc in some cases isn't too much, imo. I'm sure Edoras just went ethereal, anyways. I'd need to see more logs with more information before reaching the conclusion that BoG needs a nerf.
