I don't think BoG is OP. It just hits like a truck.

Do you not think it's OP against deep-elves?

What if deep-elf sorcs weren't as good as they are now? Then would BoG be OP against deep-elves, just deep-elf sorcs, or neither?

See, when I say something is OP, that means I think it needs a wimp. I think that BoG is incredibly powerful, sure, perhaps "Overpowered," but I don't think BoG needs a wimp because that's what paladins are for: Smiting evil, like undead, hellions, evil priests, and deep-elves. They SHOULD be better at it than anyone else is. Sure, if anyone could run around and cast the spell it'd be ridiculous, but does BoG need a nerf? Heck no.

Seems to me like this thread was made specifically to cater to your whining about BoG, Edoras.

I never whined about BoG. I said it was a fitting drawback to the bonuses of being a deep-elf.

BoG should be as powerful as it is against deep-elves because paladins need to be good at something.

They have this cool spell called ironguard, you guys should check it out sometime.

I recognize that the issue of racial weakness is not the focus of this thread but as it has been brought up in comparison for damage with BoG I have to ask how you can justify using this as a solution to the racial weakness to iron but when it was suggested you put reflex on your armor as a save to BoG you disagree with that as a solution. They are effectively the same solution.

Maybe I am missing some key element here and if I am please tell me. I know nothing of the mechanics, despite an occasional interest in learning, I have always just been more interested in the RP surrounding things. So yes, I have crappy enchantments, I probably have an extremely low HP pool not to mention all the other things that probably make me not viable in the PK world.

Well, ironguard practically nullifies iron damage and all you have to do is get potions from a warlock, whereas reflex enchantments at best still doesn't even halve the damage from BoG and requires you either giving up enchantments in other areas or spending an extra 10-15 hours or more enchanting your suit.
