Why would you traverse as a lowbie without a mount is beyond me.

Why an experienced player lowbie would? Yes. Why a MUD/SK newbie lowbie would? Well, I hope it's not too far beyond you. Sometimes that needs consideration.

Yeah im a newbie and I struggled my first 15 levels or so without a mount - not realizing how tremendously useful they were: It wasn't until Baldric walked me through it step by step that the light really came on. Image It was glorious light by the way. Made leveling much more enjoyable.

So the quest thing should include information about positions, reach and rescue? Besides what an experienced player might considered obvious PE benefits.
