That's sad, I don't know who you are. And I wasn't being bitchy. I don't know why some of you insist on carrying such grudges, but it's totally not my problem.

All I was doing was alerting Adroan to the fact that Ariya agreed with his position. Wah.

:D I fail at sarcasm.

I'm amazed that there's this much QQ over an IMM taking some EQ from the hardest NPC in the game to reach to one of the easiest PCs in the game to kill, especially since it's just for a week.

I'm not saying it was right: It wasn't. But in the grand scheme of things no one is going to have a heart attack and die because Ephialtis wasn't kit out for a whole week IRL: A suit of armor that was present on him for upwards of a year since its inception, and honestly isn't even close to as awesome as it should be given the painstaking difficulty and danger it takes to reach him.

I feel like our criticisms should look less like "BURN THE FAVORITISM WIIIIITCH GRAAAAAR" and more like "I expected better from you, please don't do this. On another completely separate note, thanks for making that armor so absurdly easy to get." I for one think that Algorab is a great IMM, and it makes me sad that I've never played a follower of Fear before. He deserves a little benefit of the doubt, at the least. I find it ironic, because I was actually considering making a thread saying that I really enjoyed seeing him interact with players the way he did, and at first glance at this thread title I thought it was something to that effect.

As to whether Kura gets unfair bias in IMM RPs and such compared to other players, I can't speak with certainty as to whether that happens or not, but I doubt it: Personally, I think the reason we hear of all the cool IMM-rps she's involved in is because A) the character's old and B) it isn't like we're going to hear of the cool PvPs she won, if you get what I'm saying. Kura is a long-standing primarily RP character about to age die that asked her patron IMM for a favor she shouldn't have received, and Algorab decided to grant her request probably on the basis that he didn't feel like it would affect the game adversely for the armor to be out of circulation for at most a week. Was it the right choice? No, because it violated a pretty basic rule of IMMing. However, it's an understandable mistake and doesn't seem like its worth making a huge fuss over. All you guys just got a reason not to go die and lose all your crap in the Dreamscape for a week. Just go to the IC instead, it's got more fun ways to kill you and carries a lot more reward.

Crap, if you're going to whine about anything in this regard, whine about hoarders who keep the nice yet also obtainable stuff in the game sitting in their robes while barely logging enough hours to not get EQ-stripped, and avoid PvP like the plague in the process.

Yeah I am sure we have tried to bring this up many times and nothing ever gets accomplished. There is nothing we can do about it.

Right, but at least then we're whining about people who are largely detrimental to the game, as opposed to people who are largely contributive to the game. That makes me feel a lot better on the inside.

If a staffer can't be bothered to dehoarde those people, why should they loot up others?

Yeah I agree. I do not personally think Algorab is a bad person, I just think it was a silly decision and I bet he did not think it would lead to this silly thread.

Well, staff isn't supposed to dehoarde people. That's the code's job, and the players' job.

Right. In this case, Kura already had obtained the loot (I led the group that got it), she just gave it to Algorab because she knew she'd be eq-stripped at the monthly reboot.

If you're wondering, players already hand off loot during monthly reboots to avoid getting EQ-stripped. Why Kura decided to ask Algorab for assistance instead of just another PC was wrong.

Then again, you're always just looking for a fight, and it hardly is ever for any other reason than the fight itself.
