I've lost much nicer stuff than what Kura had to clear-cut bugs. I was told the IMMs can't restore items for any reason. I understood because the rule made sense. I think most people who have played this game have also been eq-wiped before. This is probably the first case in recorded history of a player having an IMM go take the EQ off the NPC and giving it back to the player.

Also, her RP reason is completely bogus, as pointed out before. I'm not sure if that really changes anything, since even with a good RP reason, it shouldn't have happened, but I guess it's just the icing on the cake. Edoras, do you remember any fisties on our trip to the DS? No? That's because there weren't any.

Baldric pretty much sums up my feelings about this matter. I do not want to sound like I was QQing about loot, I just decided to voice my concerns about the matter. I think this is the reason why imms should not help players with loot. I hope we can all move on. I still <3 Algorab and Kura.

Honestly, I thought hand-outs was part of SK's history and why people kept folks on their buddy list after they ascended. Isn't "roleplay your way around a challenge while an imm is watching" one of the founding playstyles of the game?

Besides, Kura and Algorab have been doing buddy-buddy scenes since they trolled Drukyul like a year ago.

When I won the hero tourney with Aldric, Achernar rewarded me by transfering me to a new area that was getting built.

Too bad the area was nothing but like five empty fields. Also too bad I couldn't recall or gate or teleport out of there, and too bad he logged off.

I ended up just killing myself and getting a rez because I was so impatient. I lost a really nicely enchanted suit.

I haven't actually heard of something like this being a reward for the hero tournament. I've heard of unique items being made and stuff, not existing items being taken off NPCs and given to players.

Either way, the situation here is clearly very different from the hero tournaments.

I'm just saying there's a precedent for situations in which mortals are being awarded gifts by immortals.

This situation is nothing like a hero competition, that much is clear.
