Sounds great! I would just like to see them a bit more versatile, currently they are not bad and really do not need a buff, they are easily negated however.

It would likely not work in air zones or perhaps only cause prone status in that case.

That would make sense, having the ability to make people fall to their death would be really OP, and that is the 2nd most annoying way to die!

Flagging a room as underwater for a limited time would be much cooler and fit into existing mechanics more seamlessly.

Suffocate spell maybe

Edit- I disagree with the idea of lightning not being air based btw.

A warlock could solo anything if they could survive the very short time it takes to drown.

I think I'm the only person in the game with scripted water breathing atm.

Amendment : Just make warlocks Gods and let them warp the world to their will

Scripted means you get it from an item as opposed to a consumable potion. Meaning I can have water breathing up 24/7 at no cost if I want.

My concern was directed more towards the PvE side. Dying to this in PvP would actually be quite hilarious. I carry these kinds of miscellaneous potions for exploring anyway. Making casted magma hit like a stave and dealing a flat 33% sounds like a fair conversion for the spell you're suggesting.
