I understand that the staff works on the game in your off time, and that you're not paid for your contributions. Hence, the majority of you won't commit to timelines. Which is fine. None of that has anything to do with explicitly breaking the rules in favor of one character.

Should we expect that the gear will find its way to Kura once again, for a scripted role play event with a character who's not even living any more?

If so - hell, even if not - the people who were slighted by this decision deserve an answer. (hint: the entire player base who has been brushed off when bugs/crashes/etc delooted them)

Ugh, no offense but you're acting like an immature child who doesn't get their way. Like you do alot of the time on these forums. You act as if they're required to tell you everything they do and why. Plus, this was in the past. You bring it up just so you can [REDACTED] on it more. Yeah, it might have been frustrating to go there and it not be there, wah, you wasted 30 minutes of your life. Lets have a month long [REDACTED] fit about it, why don't we. Grow up, get off their backs, and play the game- this didn't affect you any, so i'm not sure why you even feel so offended by it. As if there hasn't been several other occasions in the past when immortals have shown favoritism towards a certain player or players and helped them out in a small way. You take everything that happens on this game way too personally.

I feel offended by it because certain players get different rules. If you read carefully, the "friendly-ing" posts are about things like horrible names that don't get pulled (while others that are perfectly acceptable are), people being given an entire suit off of a hard [REDACTED] NPC, or things like that.

I like the game. And I like the rules that are a part of playing them. I just wish they applied fairly and evenly to everyone.

no offense, but it pisses me off that the response to expecting a level playing field is, essentially, "qq more, noob"

I do owe Evena an apology and I wanted to make it public. In an attempt to not associate forum id names with players, I have apparently done a well enough job of not associating two forum id's together either. The post that annoyed me was made by another person and should not have been associated with her. I was reading through the responses quickly as I had to run along to other things. I am truly sorry. Now... this is my final reply to this thread. I needed to address this though, before it too snowballed.

The rules of this game are supposed to be set in stone. Think of them as laws of physics. The laws of physics are to be adhered to by everyone and no one or nothing can change that.

Now, imagine one person in the entire world was somehow able to break, say, the law of universal gravitation. Forget why they are able to break the law of universal gravitation. This law was not meant to be broken. Just something to think about it.

Yeah, except this is a game.

Now to get back into the context of which is SK, think of a whiney nerd. One that cries when someone gets something they dont get and they feel the need to have a fit about it and let everyone know their feelings, when what happened didnt affect said nerd one bit but they're still taking this situation personal. Yeah, thats pretty much the story of this whole thread necro.

I wasn't taking it personally.

Someone made a judgment call that A LOT of people disagreed with, He moved armor from the NPC and gave it to a player. He told us all that there would be an OMGLEETSAUCE explanation within a week "or so" of it happening as to why the rules were and should have been broken for this one particular character.

I wasn't the one who said that there would be transparency. That was Algorab.

No, this didn't directly affect ME, but do you know how many people actually lost loot to bugs and stuff that didn't have the [REDACTED] reinstated to their character? Can you think of ONE other time that there was a, "Hey, man, you lost your loot due to not logging enough hours, and here. have it back!?" I can't.

Breaking the rules to favor one character in such a manner damages the integrity of the system. I'm sorry you can't wrap your piddly [REDACTED] brain around the concept.

Actually, to be honest. When I first started playing in 2001 or maybe at the time it was 2002 when this happened. An immortal returned my things to me after someone pk'd my newb character for no reason. So saying things are never returned to someone is just completely untrue.

You're just bringing something up from the past and you're demanding an explanation for something that didnt even concern you. It's over and done with, kura died and lost everything, the other character that was part of the "rp" deleted. It's over, so let it be done with and stop picking at little things. I'm sure when players do something like this to immortals, it makes them want to contribute to the game less and put less time into helping everyone. At least it would for me.

So the immortal that gave your things back breaking the rules makes it okay for other immortals to do it? Silly little one.
