I actually agree with you, Ardith. I think I might go vomit now.

But I think it'd be awesome and way more fulfilling if characters were able to play the actual ruling figure of a kingdom. Even if it's just the leader of a tribunal, it'd provide for interesting roleplay and a storyline to each kingdom that isn't just stagnant history.

Most MMOs have installed methods for changing the political landscape of an area based on control of a region in king-of-the-hill fashion. We have CRS.
