Go to the planes/wastelands/outlands/dreamscape using a mithril weapon and see how long it lasts you.

I did like two fights with a mithril kama in dreamscape and it went from brand new to fair. If you think that isn't problematic you're crazy.

Personally I think mithril as a mythical material should have more durability, the rest of them I'm fine as they are.

I seem to remember mithril not breaking as fast when I started playing the game, and now it breaks as fast as any other.

Guess the two most-hoarded weapon materials?

I've only been to one of them, and I wasn't using a mithril weapon on any of the occasions that I went, so I've never had to deal with it. If it really is that bad, though, then I can see why people would want mithril more durable. Steel and iron and other more common materials, though? I think they're fine. They're so easily accessible it doesn't even matter.

Knowing that I have broken energy and water before, I will attest that they can be broken.
