Hey, I can count the number of PvPs in SK that have occurred in no-magic rooms in the past two years.

Oh that's right, none.

Making it require minimal INT didn't change much: It just prevented INT from being a complete dump stat (Though average INT is plenty), made taunting/feebleminding swashbucklers a viable tactic, and made sorcs/hellions have to give their dominates and charms lots of INT mods in order to hold a taunt. Honestly, all of those seem to be good balance changes to me.

Veret, Nico, Elynthen, Orius: And Sergvist not long before that. The only change that's happened to them in the past 3-4 years is the INT change, which just removes what, 6-7 stat points from their overall pool. That's not too big of a deal.

Nico should have been mentioned first there by the way, he was way cooler than Veret. Also after the change to taunt it really did wimp the class. Though the change to bandalores was a serious buff.

This is not even true. I tested it again and you can use it just fine in a no magic room. It does require concentration, so I can see how you might have been confused, but it's using the release list for a non-magical effect.

Taunt has always faded when I walked into a no magic room, along with the rest of my other affects. It may just be a bug that is different from actually using it inside of no magic, but I suppose it's a relief to hear that it actually works in there. However, ever since when I first saw that happen I tried it again and sure enough taunt went down when I walked into non magical rooms.

I think you were probably testing it right after the changes and while a bug may have existed. But I did also just test having both the user and the target move into a no-magic room while using it and neither of those actions causes the taunt to be removed.

Does anyone else besides Ardith realize that if you're walking around you're obviously not being affected by taunt?
